Scriptural Science

admin June 7th, 2010

Scriptural Science is short for ‘Scripturally-based Scientific Research’. The phrase refers to what is (but shouldn’t be) a unique way of doing scientific research. In short it is disciplining oneself to build your scientific frameworks of knowledge upon an unbending literal interpretation of scripture–while at the same time not rejecting or ignoring scientific truth presented in secular forums. To maintain a literal interpretation of scripture as the foundation of your worldview in the same way that Hel. 5:12 teaches us to maintain Christ as the foundation of our spirituality and personal value system, but then building upon that with all truth regardless of its source.

This is far more difficult than may appear, so much so that there are relatively few socially respected scientists in this world who have actually achieved it. However, for those who achieve, the dividends are richly rewarding. And the most prized of rewards is what makes this site and its theories different from all others– the gift of revelation.

It is this method of being a true scriptorian and scriptural literalist, as well as a scientist schooled in the secular disciplines of academia which forms the basis for the remarkable correlations between the scriptures and natural history presented here. The correlations are plain and with the necessary study and prayer become self evident.

Book of Mormon Archeology Correlations Paper.

A 35 page paper summarizing Thomas’ Book of Mormon research. This introduction reminds us that both Jesus and Moroni told us that we can determine the truth of any doctrine by looking at its fruits. This paper shows some of the "fruits" of Darwinism. It details Darwin's personal apostasy from Christianity with quotes from his journals and autobiography. It then explains "why Darwinism matters" by showing some of the political and social implications the theory has had on world events. It shows how Carl Marx, Adolph Hitler, and Joseph Stalin all used Evolution as proof for their belief in atheism and how the theory of natural selection influenced their actions.

  • Geologic Evidence for the Scriptures - July 22, 2010

In our research we have found a way to correlate established scientific research with the scriptures without compromising the truth of either. We believe that life began on the earth around 6,000 years ago at the fall of Adam and that Noah's Flood killed nearly all life on earth (except that in the arc & oceans), and yet at the same time we believe that "mainstream science" has figured out the history of the earth almost exactly with only three main exceptions. Those exceptions are macro evolution, the rates at which geologic change has taken place, and the driving mechanism for Plate Tectonics.
