Atonement

Atonement is difficult. It is painful. It is troubling. But it is the key to redemption.
Just as the fall was caused by redemption…. (link to other post…)
When a rich person sees extreme poverty, it is troubling. It tears at their heart and makes them reach inside to at-one the extremes. Why am I so blessed, and these so poor? Am I so much more deserving than them? What can I do to help?
The reason it is troubling is because deep inside all man know they are one. They know they are brothers and heirs to the same blessings. No one looks at a rock and feels sorrow that it is not like us. But when we see extreme sickness and suffering, the righteous feel pain because they sense the connection. They sense that there is a disparity between their suffering and our wellness. They want to reach down to ease the suffering even if it causes themselves some suffering. They want to at-one. If ALL were suffering, there would be no desire to help, or to atone. We define sickness and suffering only by having wellness and bliss to compare it to.
It is the duality and opposites brought into this world by the fruit of the the knowledge of good and evil that…
True gnosis and intelligence comes from at-oneing the opposites. Reconciling in our minds the dualities. Understanding WHY there is wealth and poverty in this world. WHY there is good and evil, pleasure and pain, Muslim and Jew, Christian and Hindu… essentially finding out how they all FIT into the Father’s plan.
Have you reconciled it yet? Do you think people are just poor because they’re lazy, and you are not because you are better? Do you think God loves the Christians, but the Asians are damned because they haven’t accepted Christ as their savior? Have they really had the chance? Are you so sure you have really accepted him? Do you even see behind the symbol he brought?
These are difficult question which most have quelled with trite, sorry excuses for real answers. It is easy for those who don’t love to give pseudo-answers to these questions. But if you truly have charity, you are forced to dig deep toward the SOURCE to get real gnosis. And when you find it, it is sweet to the taste and brings redemption to the soul. It at-ones the division. It helps the fallen ascend. It reconciles those at enmity.
