The Mysteries

The mysteries of the gospel can not be communicated from mortal to mortal on earth. It is impossible to do it without simply creating an idol. They are complex multidimensional principles that must be communicated Spirit to spirit.
A child sees things only at face value. Bread means food to them. An adult versed in the litergy and symbology of the gospel learns that the bread and wine have deeper spiritual meaning. They dont simply mean food to the worshipper, but bring images of Christ and his atonement to mind. Still deeper, a student deeply versed in the mystic symbology of the Gospel may have literally hundreds of different ideas and meanings come to mind when ….
The purpose of instruction on earth is to build the language and symbology framework so that the mysteries can later be communicated from a teaching Spirit being to the learners spirit.
As Christ said, “my spirit is truth” and you must worship in spirit and in truth…
also as the doctrine and covenants say “spirit to spirit that both may be edified”…. (finish)

This needs to be a long post on all aspects of teaching.

yet deeper a Spirit could help you understand that in these few words lie all the physical mysteries of the universe…
